Everton 3-1 Reading: Royals can still stay up - Brian McDermott

Reading manager Brian McDermott says his side "just might" stay in the Premier League, despite losing 3-1 at Everton.

Goals from Marouane Fellaini, Steven Pienaar and Kevin Mirallas put paid to Reading's chances of a result before substitute Hal Robson-Kanu grabbed a late headed consolation for the Royals.

Reading remain in the relegation zone in 19th position, one point from safety, but McDermott says that having closed a bigger gap to win promotion last season, they have the belief they can survive.
