Brian McDermott sacking: Reading owner on club's philosophy

Reading owner Anton Zingarevich explains to Match of the Day 2's Kevin Day his ambition to make the Royals "successful in many seasons to come", speaking two days before manager Brian McDermott is sacked.

The Russian tycoon believes that the increased money in the Premier League next season, due to an improved television rights deal, will make the league "much stronger" and have "big implications" on the game.

McDermott was sacked on Monday having led the club to promotion last season, but four successive Premier League defeats have left them four points adrift of safety.
