Cliftonville's Knowles awaits final verdict

James Knowles of Cliftonville is hoping he will be eligible to be involved in this Saturday's Irish Cup final.

It had been thought the attacking midfielder would have to miss the showpiece match against Glentoran because his contract at Solitude had expired.

However, club officials are contacting Fifa and Uefa in an effort to get the former Blackburn Rovers man cleared to be included in the Reds squad.
