Defending Wimbledon champion Serena Williams apologies to rival Maria Sharapova for comments made in a magazine article that have sparked a row between the players.
The five-time champion also says to the family of a girl she also commented on in the same article, external without "all the information".
Williams will look to surpass sister Venus - who is missing from the tournament for the time since her 1997 debut - by winning a sixth singles crown.
