James Beattie: Accrington manager moves on from Boro upset

After causing one of the shocks of the League Cup first round, Accrington manager James Beattie tells BBC Radio Lancashire that his focus is now on Stanley picking up their first league points of the season against Portsmouth on Saturday.

Beattie's side were beaten 4-1 by Newport on the opening day of the League Two campaign, but responded in style by knocking Championship side Middlesbrough out of the cup three days later.

The former England striker reserves special praise for youngster Marcus Carver, who netted his first senior goal at the Riverside Stadium, and Piero Mingoia, who scored the winner against Boro just a week after joining the club.
