Dornan wants Irish League on Sundays

Peter Dornan, an independent director with the new company set to run the Irish League, advocates more games to be played on Friday and Sunday.

The former Linfield midfielder said flexibility over fixture dates was needed to attract more people to matches.

Cliftonville boss Tommy Breslin supported Dornan's plans but Linfield manager David Jeffrey said he doesn't believe the Blues will play on a Sunday.
