Wayne Rooney: Man Utd & Chelsea transfer saga

BBC Sport looks back at a summer of transfer speculation surrounding the future of Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.

The 27-year-old has been the subject of two transfer bids from Chelsea, but played the full 90 minutes against Jose Mourinho's men in Monday's 0-0 Premier League draw at Old Trafford.

Rooney is understood to be keen on a move away from United, but the club have always insisted the forward is not for sale, and Rooney has so far not handed in a transfer request.
