Simon Cox: Nottingham Forest striker's delight in quick recovery
Nottingham Forest striker Simon Cox tells BBC East Midlands Today he is delighted with his speedy recovery from a "freak" ankle injury.
Cox was stretchered off in the 3-1 League Cup win over Hartlepool earlier this month and was expected to be out for up to six week.
But after less than three weeks on the sideline, the Republic of Ireland international is back in Billy Davies' squad and pushing for a re-call.
"When the expert say to me that it could be four, five or six weeks, I always look to come back a bit quicker," Cox told BBC East Midlands Today.
"But I also have to make sure the ankle is right. With good physio, good massage and doing the right things, like taking the ice bucket home with me every day, really helps the process."
