Everton midfielder James McCarthy tells BBC Radio Merseyside he is enthused by the potential of a push for Europe at Goodison Park.

McCarthy linked up with former Wigan boss Roberto Martinez at the Merseyside club after a move in the region of £15m was completed at the end of the summer transfer window.

After winning the FA Cup with the Latics in 2013, the Republic of Ireland international is now determined to help Martinez and his Toffees team-mates up the Premier League table.
