Qatar will keep 2022 World Cup - bid chief Hassan al-Thawadi

The head of the Qatar 2022 World Cup bid team, Hassan al-Thawadi, says no-one will take the tournament away from the country, despite doubts about its suitability.

Fears have been raised about the country's high summer temperatures, which average 40C in June and can reach 50C.

Fifa president Sepp Blatter will hold talks with his executive committee in October to decide if the tournament could be staged in the winter instead.
