Sunderland 1-3 Liverpool: Rodgers hails Suarez-Sturridge partnership

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers praises the striker partnership of Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez after the pair combined to secure 3-1 victory at Sunderland.

Suarez marked his Premier League return with two goals, both courtesy of assists from Sturridge, who had scored in the first half to put the Reds ahead.

The win moved Liverpool second in the Premier League table.
