BBC Sport's State of the Game in numbers

BBC Sport takes a look at the numbers behind the State of the Game study that shows the further decline of home-grown players in the Premier League.

English players account for 32.26% of minutes played in the Premier League - down from 35.25% in 2007-08 - and significantly lower than all other major European leagues, according to statisticians Opta.

The State of the Game interactive map can also be used to see how the proportion of foreign players in the Premier League has changed in the last five years.
