Craig Cathcart keen to cement N Ireland starting place

Defender Craig Cathcart is keen to secure a regular starting place in the Northern Ireland team as he prepares for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Israel.

Cathcart says the players are determined to make up for the disappointment of their 3-2 defeat by Luxembourg last month.

The Blackpool defender adds that the squad are deriving confidence from the number of chances they created against Azerbaijan in Belfast last year as they prepare to take on the same opposition in Baku on Friay night.
