Norwich 0-0 Cardiff: Disallowed goal confuses Hughton

Norwich manager Chris Hughton says he will seek a rule clarification following referee Michael Jones's decision to disallow Leroy Fer's late effort in their 0-0 home draw with Cardiff.

Fer put the ball into Cardiff's net after Bluebirds keeper David Marshall had thrown the ball out so that Norwich's Alexander Tettey could receive treatment. It was unclear whether Fer was attempting to score or pass the ball back to Marshall, but referee Jones ruled out a goal.

Hughton feels Norwich "should have won" but credits Marshall for the "wonderful saves" in a match where Norwich had, including blocked efforts, 31 shots - a Premier League record this season.
