Southampton 2-0 Fulham: Jol feared a Fulham 'hammering'

Fulham manager Martin Jol feared his side faced a 'hammering' after their first-half display at Southampton.

Rickie Lambert and Jay Rodriguez put Southampton 2-0 up at the break, but Jol's side managed to keep the Saints at bay during the second-half.

Fulham came into the game full of confidence after an impressive 4-1 over Crystal Palace last time out, but became the first side in a Premier League match this season not to manage a shot on goal in the opening 45 minutes.
