Sunderland 2-1 Newcastle: Alan Pardew rues Sunderland sucker punch
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew believes his side were robbed after their 2-1 loss to rivals Sunderland, saying his side "switched off" in the build-up to the game's winner because they thought they had been awarded a throw in.
Steven Fletcher had given the Black Cats the lead only for Mathieu Debuchy to bring Newcastle level just before the hour mark. Fabio Borini drove in a spectacular winner.
It was Newcastle's fourth defeat of the season and their second consecutive loss to their arch rivals.
