Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers denies Will Hughes link

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers says Derby midfielder Will Hughes is best off staying with the Rams and denies the Reds have approached the 18-year-old.

Rodgers' side travel to Goodison Park on Saturday for the 221st Merseyside derby, with star striker Luis Suarez flying back by private jet after helping Uruguay secure a spot at the 2014 World Cup.

The Reds manager also confirmed defender Jose Enrique is ruled out with a knee injury which will require surgery.
