Flares in football: Concerns over use at Premier League grounds

BBC Sport's David Ornstein reports on the concerns over the use of pyrotechnics, flares and smoke bombs in crowds at Premier League matches.

In the first three months of this season, there were 96 pyrotechnic incidents across the Premier League, Football League, Football Conference and domestic cup competitions.

In October, assistant referee David Bryan was hit by a flare during Aston Villa's match against Tottenham at Villa Park.
