Cardiff manager Malky Mackay feared Vincent Tan would sack him
Cardiff manager Malky Mackay says he expected to be lose his job at the weekend after owner Vincent Tan told him to resign or be sacked.
Cardiff chairman Mehmet Dalman subsequently released a statement on Sunday that indicated Mackay would remain in charge for the "foreseeable future", but Mackay worries that "he's not the man who makes the decision".
The 41-year-old Scot hoped to have talks with Tan on Monday or Tuesday, but the Malaysian businessman has "declined" the request and Mackay hopes these talks will now take place "sooner rather than later".
