Sam Allardyce thankful for West Ham board's support

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is pleased to receive the backing of club co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan and reveals they talk on a daily basis.

Gold and Sullivan issued an open letter to fans in support of Allardyce after the struggling Hammers lost 5-0 to Championship side Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Allardyce also hopes new signing Roger Johnson has the height and experience to ensure they compete with Manchester City in Wednesday's League Cup semi-final first leg.
