Leighton Baines: Everton player 'unaffected' by Man Utd speculation

Everton left-back Leighton Baines tells Football Focus that he did not let the speculation surrounding his future during the summer affect him.

Manchester United, managed by former Everton boss David Moyes, made a move for Baines in the summer with Everton turning their approach down.

Baines says Everton boss Roberto Martinez kept him informed of United's interest, but the 29-year-old was able to put it all to the back of his mind as he prepared for the new season.
