England Women beat Italy 2-0 in Cyprus Cup
England beat Italy 2-0 in their opening Cyprus Cup Group A game in Larnaca thanks to goals from Karen Carney and Toni Duggan.
Birmingham midfielder Carney scores a penalty in first-half stoppage time, and Manchester City striker Duggan, who has apologised for painting her face black at a fancy dress party, doubles the lead after half-time to give new boss Mark Sampson his first victory.
England will play Finland, who lost their opening fixture 3-0 to Canada, on Friday.
