Paul Barber: Brighton CEO calls for finance rules to be left alone

Brighton & Hove Albion chief executive Paul Barber tells BBC Late Kick Off London and the South East that the club would be "very disappointed" if the Financial Fair Play, external rules were changed.

A number of unnamed clubs are said to be considering challenging the rules, which carry a range of possible penalties including transfer embargoes and fines for any teams that make a loss in excess of £8m this season.

Brighton announced a loss of £14.7m in their accounts for the 2012-13 season, exceeding a £10m limit, but no sanctions were applied as FFP only came into force this season.

In 2014-15, the limit will go down again to £6m.

Barber says the Seagulls are working hard to increase revenues in order to comply with the rules.
