Derry City state Roddy Collins departure 'nothing personal'

Derry City chairman Philip O'Doherty insists the club's decision to part company with manager Roddy Collins on Sunday is "nothing personal" and simply down to poor results.

O'Doherty admitted the board had been contemplating the move for around a week and despite rumours of unrest between Collins and several players and back-room staff, the chairman described results as "not acceptable".

The chairman stated that no decision will be taken on Collins' successor until after a board meeting on Tuesday night.
