Rory Patterson denies rift with ex-Derry City boss Roddy Collins

Derry City striker Rory Patterson denies falling out with outgoing manager Roddy Collins, who left the club on Sunday after presiding over two wins from twelve League of Ireland games this season.

Last year's top goalscorer Patterson claimed he "never had a cross word" with Collins, despite being left out of the team on several occasions this season.

Peter Hutton, who has been installed as manager until the end of the season, said some players had become "disillusioned" and that he aimed to give them the freedom to express themselves for the remainder of the season.
