France beat 10-man Honduras 3-0 in their opening game of Group E, with two goals for striker Karim Benzema.

Wilson Palacios saw his second yellow card in conceding the penalty from which Benzema put France in front.

The Real Madrid player scored a second and saw his shot rebound in off the Honduran goalkeeper for the night's other goal.
