Steve Bruce apologises to Hull supporters after a "totally pathetic" first-half display after losing 2-1 at Aston Villa.

Bruce says the first-half was "arguably the worst he could remember" during his time at the club, though Hull did hit back after the break when Nikica Jelavic's header deflected in off Villa defender Aly Cissokho.

The result completes a miserable week for Bruce after his side failed to make the group stages of the Europa League following a two-leg loss to Belgian side Lokeren.
