Uwe Rosler: Dave Whelan says Wigan manager had to go
Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan tells BBC Radio Manchester he felt he had to sack Uwe Rosler because of their poor run of form.
Rosler, 45, was dismissed after less than 12 months in the job, with the Latics sitting third from bottom of the Championship.
The former Manchester City striker led the club to the FA Cup semi-finals and the Championship play-offs last season, but they have struggled this term with just three league wins in 17 games.
