Lionel Messi v Cristiano Ronaldo on the world stage

BBC Sport compares the international records of Lionel Messi for Argentina and Cristiano Ronaldo for Portugal as the two nations prepare to face each other at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

It will be only the second time Messi and Ronaldo have played against each other on the international stage - the previous meeting was in February 2011 when both scored during a 2-1 victory for the South Americans.
