Malky Mackay: Judge me as Wigan Athletic manager

Malky Mackay says he wants to be judged as Wigan Athletic's new manager and not on the "mistakes" he has made in the past.

The Football Association is looking into allegations Mackay sent "sexist, racist and homophobic" text messages during his time in charge of Cardiff City.

The former Watford boss says he has apologised and has undertaken a "diversity education programme" to improve his abilities as a manager, while Wigan owner Dave Whelan insists Mackay "earns another chance" in football.
