Ireland's Stephanie Roche says her achievement in making the shortlist for Fifa's goal of the year "hasn't sunk in yet".

Roche's strike for Irish women's club Peamount United in October 2013, which has had almost three million views on YouTube, has been shortlisted in the top three alongside goals scored by James Rodriguez and Robin van Persie during the 2014 World Cup for Colombia and the Nethlerlands respectively.

She told Radio 5 Live: "I'm happy my goal is getting recognition. it's brilliant for me as a player and brilliant for women's football".
