Aston Villa 0-0 Crystal Palace: Alan Pardew met players - Millen

Crystal Palace caretaker manager Keith Millen says prospective boss Alan Pardew congratulated the Eagles players after their 0-0 draw away at Aston Villa.

There was precious little excitement during 90 largely chanceless minutes at Villa Park, but Palace had the clearest opening with Yannick Bolasie striking the crossbar after breaking past the home defence.

The Eagles have scored just one first-half goal in their last seven Premier League matches, something Pardew will hope to improve once he has been confirmed as manager at Selhurst Park.
