Steven Gerrard in turmoil over Liverpool exit - Rodgers

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers says captain Steven Gerrard was in "turmoil" over his decision to leave the club at the end of this season.

The 34-year-old, who is out of contract this summer, made the announcement on Friday but Rodgers believes he will return to Liverpool in future to work as a coach

Gerrard joined the Reds aged nine and has scored 180 goals in 695 games.
