Liverpool 2-0 West Ham: Brendan Rodgers on Daniel Sturridge

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says Daniel Sturridge's return was all down to "timing" as he came off the bench to secure a 2-0 victory against West Ham.

Raheem Sterling opened the scoring for the Reds before substitute Daniel Sturridge, playing for the first time since August, hammered home his first chance of the game to make sure of all three points.

Victory extended Liverpool's unbeaten Premier League run to seven games (W5 D2).
