Abby Wambach: USA's leading scorer calls for more women in Fifa

The USA's all-time leading international goalscorer Abby Wambach says "there needs to be more women in Fifa".

The 2012 women's world player of the year says she would be "open to having conversations" about performing a role for football's governing body, but first wants to focus on the upcoming World Cup in Canada.

Wambach has won two Olympic gold medals and has scored a record 178 goals in 236 international matches.

She was speaking to BBC Sport on International Women's Day.
