Gus Poyet: Pundits say 'no-one was surprised' on Sunderland sacking

BBC Match of the Day pundits Danny Murphy and Jason Roberts say "no-one was surprised" by the sacking of Sunderland manager Gus Poyet.

The Uruguayan was relieved of his duties on Monday after a run of just one victory in 12 Premier League games culminated in a 4-0 home defeat by Aston Villa.

Poyet took over from Paolo Di Canio in October 2013 with the club bottom of the Premier League. He led the Wearsiders to the 2014 Capital One Cup final and helped the club achieve an improbable escape from relegation in May.
