Everton 2-2 Watford: Toffees 'never accepted defeat'
Everton boss Roberto Martinez says his side "never accepted defeat" despite twice going behind at home to Watford and recovering each time to draw 2-2.
Miguel Layun's half-volley fired Watford ahead, but Ross Barkley equalised for Everton. Odion Ighalo gave the Hornets their second lead in the game, but substitute Arouna Kone snatched a draw with an angled finish across Heurelho Gomes.
Everton have now started three consecutive Premier League seasons with a 2-2 draw.
