Wayne Rooney top of England goalscoring charts

BBC Sport look at England's greatest goalscorers as Wayne Rooney moves top of the list above Bobby Charlton with a goal against Switzerland.

Nat Lofthouse and Tom Finney both scored 30 goals in careers, a figure matched by Alan Shearer, with Michael Owen getting to 40 international strikes.

Jimmy Greaves' 44 strikes puts him fourth, Gary Lineker is third on 48 and Charlton is second on the list one behind Rooney's 50 goals.
