Gareth Bale: 'Why would Wales international leave Real Madrid?'

The agent of Wales international Gareth Bale says his player has "never said he wants to leave Real Madrid", as the forward was linked with a move back to the Premier League during the transfer window.

Jonathan Barnett describes the stories as "complete rubbish" and hopes the former Tottenham player "will stay for the rest of his career" at the Bernabeu.

According to his agent, Bale is "almost level" with team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo "in terms of what he has achieved for the club" and will soon "be seen as the best player in the world".
