Joe Cole: Coventry's new loan man has missed the 'buzz' of playing

Playing at Rochdale? Or "sitting on my bum watching telly"? New Coventry City loan man Joe Cole says it was no contest when it came to the chance of joining the Sky Blues from Aston Villa on loan.

"I want to be out there competing on a Tuesday and a Saturday with somebody trying to kick you," he told BBC Sport. "I want to get that buzz of playing again.

"I needed a team that play football the right way. I knew Tony Mowbray's reputation as a manager who can pass it and pop it about. And it just feels right."

Cole's Coventry debut, the first game of his 35-day emergency loan, is expected to come in Tuesday's League One game against Rochdale at Spotland.
