Would David Moyes have called a male journalist 'boy'?
A veteran football manager - questioned by a reporter after a tough game - tells her she needs to watch herself - or she might get a slap next time.
David Moyes, the Sunderland manager, has now apologised for his remarks to the BBC's Vicki Sparks but the Football Association is writing to him about it. In his apology he referred to the reporter as "girl" rather than by her name.
Former Olympian Matthew Syed told the Today programme Mr Moyes is probably used to referring to everyone as "girls and boys" but Martha Kelmer, sports writer for the Daily Mail disagrees. She says she isn't so sure he would have referred to a male journalist as a 'boy'.
