Iceland game ideal Euro 2025 preparation, says Wales manager Gemma Grainger
Wales manager Gemma Grainger says that Friday's Nations League tie at home to Iceland is "ideal" preparation for her side should they qualify for Euro 2025.
Iceland and Wales are battling to avoid relegation from the top tier of the Nations League and Grainger's side need to beat their opponents by two clear goals in Cardiff to leapfrog them in the League A table.
The knockout nature of Friday's game - which will be followed next Tuesday by the visit of Germany to Swansea - will replicate major tournament football which the manager hopes her side can experience for the first time in 2025.
