Lewis Hamilton can deliver for Mercedes - Eddie Jordan

BBC Formula 1 expert Eddie Jordan, who earlier this month predicted Hamilton would join Mercedes, says the 27-year old Englishman has the ability to do for the Mercedes team what Michael Schumacher did at Ferrari in their period of dominance at the turn of the Century.

The German's arrival brought about an era of unprecedented Formula 1 success for the Italian team.

Hamilton's move to the Silver Arrows comes at the expense of Schumacher, but it has not yet been confirmed whether the veteran will retire or seek another drive.
