BBC Sport looks at the illustrious company Lewis Hamilton finds himself in after winning his third world title.

Hamilton secured his third world title with three races to spare after a thrilling win in the US Grand Prix in Texas, his closest rival Sebastian Vettel finished third.

The Englishman joins the likes of Juan Manuel Fangio, Jack Brabham, Jackie Stewart, Niki Lauda, Nelson Piquet, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna, Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher, who have all won the world championship three or more times.
