Fernando Alonso: Sebastian Vettel world title win is 'a matter of time'

After finishing fourth in the Japanese Grand Prix, Ferrari's Fernando Alonso admits he cannot see any way of catching Sebastian Vettel in the race for the driver's world championship.

Asked if the battle was still ongoing the Spaniard replied: "No, I don't think so" but he did insist he will keep fighting for points and would not congratulate Vettel until it was "mathematically impossible" for him to lose the title.

Vettel won his fifth race in a row to take a 90-point lead in the standings, with Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber second and Lotus's Romain Grosjean third.
