BBC F1 pit-lane reporter Tom Clarkson explains the reasons behind Marussia driver Jules Bianchi's demotion to ninth place at the Monaco Grand Prix.

Bianchi, along with Esteban Guttierrez and Max Chilton, was given a five-second penalty for starting from the wrong place on the grid.

But, having served the penalty with the safety car out, that meant Bianchi had the time applied after the race had finished, meaning he was demoted from eighth.
