Fernando Alonso, Kimi Raikkonen and Valtteri Bottas explain their surprising eliminations during the first part of qualifying for the British Grand Prix.
Both Williams and Ferrari badly misjudged the ever-changing weather conditions, missing the brief window of driest running in the first part of qualifying before rain returned, leaving Bottas 17th and Felipe Massa 18th, with Alonso and Raikkonen 19th and 20th respectively.
It was a huge downturn in fortunes for Williams, after they locked out the front row at the last race in Austria.
