Force India's Nico Hulkenberg was fastest from Nico Rosberg in first free practice, in a session that was delayed by an overnight diesel spill on the track.

In second practice heavy rain meant only eight cars completed flying laps, with Felipe Massa pipping Sebastian Vettel for top spot after the chequered flag had fallen.
