Ulster SFC: McGuinness applauds Donegal character after win

Donegal manager Jim McGuinness is delighted with his team's display and attitude in the 1-11 to 0-11 Ulster Championship win over Derry at Celtic Park.

"We knew Derry were going to bring a lot of challenges to us but as the game wore on, we were happy that we were able to deal with them," said the Donegal boss.

"You can't fault the character of these guys. There was a lot written and said but that wasn't absorbed into the group. But at the same time, there was a lot of negativity about the team."
