Manager Mickey Harte says semi-final spot is just reward for Tyrone

Tyrone manager Mickey Harte says his county's place in the All-Ireland Football semi-finals is just reward for the hard work his players have put in over the past year.

The Red Hands will face Kerry at Croke Park on Sunday as one of the last four contenders for the Sam Maguire, with Dublin and Mayo contesting the other semi-final on 30 August.

"I wanted to prove how good this team is. I know the quality, effort and energy that has been put in," said Harte.

The Tyrone boss also defends his squad against criticism of their style of play from some quarters and says there is much exaggeration about what is wrong with modern day gaelic football.
